As you said to me, it seems that on your JDK 1.2 the system properties
java.version is set to java1.2 instead of 1.2. It is the cause of
the problem. There is a bug in the JOnAS module Env.java.
We will fix the problem.
You can bypass the problem by modifying the GenIC script that you
can find in $JONAS_ROOT/bin
replace
java -Dinstall.root=$JONAS_ROOT org.objectweb.jonas.tools.GenIC $*
by
java -Dinstall.root=$JONAS_ROOT org.objectweb.jonas.tools.GenIC -verbose
-rmicopts -v1.1 $*
