Jeremie use the GIOP protocol. It is not immediately a RMI over IIOP
implementation
but its something we'd like to do soon,
perhaps with some help from open source contributions.

I only wanted to say that with Jeremie we will be able to work with a
unique registry on one host and bind remote objects from server that
runs on other hosts.
However the naming service of jeremie is not persistent, and there is no
protection
if you rebind different objects from different hosts under the same
name.
