We have encountered following situation. Our application is at some point
generating quite large number of data. We are using Jonas 1.6 over RMI.
After a while the whole operation fails and after going through Jonas trace
I found out that the transaction has timeout. After going through Jonas
source I have found out that the value is hard coded to 60 seconds
(Current.java) and I even found out in the mail archive that the session
bean time out value (session bean initiate this transaction) is ignored in
current release (is this still valid?).
We are using container managed persistence so we cannot use
UserTransaction.setTransactionTimeout() method
My question is, is there any way, how we can actually set this value
(without changing the source code and rebuilding Jonas)? What are your plans
with this, will be the value equal the value of session bean time out?
