Hi,

I've just started looking at JOnAS/EnHydra as an alternative to commercial
application servers (esp. WebLogic), and am trying to ascertain:

(a) whether it is feasible to run mission critical apps on these
technologies in their current state(s)
(b) whether anybody actually is!
(c) any potential headache factors/showstoppers in the migration of an
entire enterprise app from WebLogic to (EnHydra + JOnAS or EnHydra
Enterprise)

Also, from a quick reading of some articles in the mailing list, my
understanding is that:

* JOnAS currently compares favourably with WebLogic WRT non-local RMI calls
* The EnHydra Enterprise will enable "Cougar" (Tomcat + bells/whistles?)
and JOnAS to run in the same JVM
* EnHydra Enterprise will be released end of March

Are these statements correct?

All opinions/facts greatly appreciated!

Regards,

James Dodd
