1.1.7 (IBM VisualAge) Client-Side?

Is it possible to access Jonas 1.2 Session EJB's from a JDK 1.1 client
(specifically the IBM VA/Java 2.0 IDE which we have to use because other
portions of our applciation code depend on it)?
