It gives me great pleasure to announce release 1.0.1 of the EJBWizard utility for JOnAS 2. This is the first release which reliably produces EJBs acceptable to the JOnAS server, generating source, XML, make and other support files. While it still has rough edges, I am now confident that a person with basic familiarity of the JOnAS system can, using the EJBWizard's graphical user interface, prototype a custom entity or session bean, including the definition of custom finder and create functions. In the case of entity beans, the user is also able to create database field definitions or pull existing definitions in from the jonas.properties file, automatically constructing get/set functions for each field. This is overall a solid release, capable of detecting and reporting a variety of misconfigurationsm as well as editing of user input. I feel confident that it can stand up to most of the everyday stresses and strains that users unfamiliar with the package can spring on it. i encourage you to download it and try it out.
