Have a look in the JOnAS documentation at the Configuring JDBC
DataSources §
http://www.objectweb.org/jonas/jonas_root/doc/Program.html#Customiz1
in the Customizing JDBC DataSources (apha release) part
it is discribed how to support third party JDBC drivers
