We are using JOnAS 2.3 on Sun JDK 1.3.1 on Windows 2000, running the SB example. This works fine, both having Client and Server on the same machine, also having client and server on different machines. Also, we can connect from a Client running on SuSE LINUX 7.2 to the server running on Windows 2000. Then we changed sides, moved the server to the LINUX machine. We still can connect from the local client then, but no from a Windows machine. We checked all settings. IP addresses are correct. The error is "connection refused from host 127.0.0.2". For me it looks like JOnAS registers in the rmi registry with IP "127.0.0.2" (what is the local loopback adapter) but not with it's NIC's actual IP address (what would be 192.168.0.35). Can someone try to reproduce this? We either have this on two different machine, one is a SIEMENS machine with SusSE 7.2, the other was a Fujitsu machine with SuSE 7.1. For me it looks like a bug in either JOnAS asking for localhost instead of "default ho! st ip", OR Sun VM deliv ocalhost when asked for "default host ip".
