I guess you are worrying about finding the "initial reference" to the CosNaming.
If you don't have acces to the file system where the CosNaming IOR file is written,
then you should change 2 properties in file jonathan.prop, in order to get the
CosNaming IOR through HTTP :

david.CosNaming.default_method=1
david.CosNaming.default_url=http://myWebServer/webPath/cos-ns.ior

Of course, you have to
- run a web server on the machine where the CosNaming is running ;
- use option "-file filePath/cos-ns.ior" when running the CosNaming in order to
produce the CosNaming IOR file (in the right place regarding your web server
configuration).

As far as I know, configuring the default reference to the CosNaming by setting the
server IP address and port number is not supported by David (unless any recent change
or workaround exists?). This is not a portable manner, since IORs contain an
"arbitrary" object key that is not predictable in the general case.

You may setup jonathan/David via -D options to override jonathan.prop properties.

You, daring wizard! ;o)
