I don't think it really makes sense today, since jonas doesn't handle CORBA objects.
However, there are plans to use RMI/IIOP in
Jonas, using a new RMI/IIOP personality of Jonathan (it should be available during the
first or second quarter 2001). It will
then be possible to use external naming services like that of visibroker, and not only
the fairly naive (yet functionnal !)
implementation provided with Jonathan.
