The "HelloWorld" example of the distribution uses a persitent IOR (see
examples/david/helloWorld). Check the JAVA_OPTIONS of the provided
makefile, properties :
-Ddavid.CosNaming.default_method=2 \
-Ddavid.CosNaming.default_file=cos-ns.ior
