Thank you for posting this, Fred. I had completely forgotten there
was an intro to this song. You don't hear it very often. I think
Linda Ronstadt sang it on one of her Nelson Riddle records. It
lightens the song up a bit and presents the loved one in a more
positive light. The info about Hart was also very interesting and
enlightening.

The tone of the Shakespeare seems different to me. Earthier & less
maudlin. There also seems to be a touch of humor in it. I really get
the idea of reality being preferable to fantasy in this better than in
'My Funny Valentine'.

I do like this song. To me this one is paying a very high compliment
to the loved one. It's saying the trappings don't matter, all I
really need is you. I like that.
