You're right, "full cooperation" is baloney.  But the fact that Joni didn't
talk to her doesn't mean that this won't be a good biography.  Consider that
most "definitive biographies" are written after the subject is no longer in
a position to give interviews, if you get my meaning.  Anyway, Karen's book
has got to be better than Mr. Hinton's cut-and-paste job.  I'm excited!
