Hi everyone,
I was at my few-days-a-week pay-the-rent-job a few blocks from the World
Trade Center.
We'd heard the news about the planes. There were papers flying in the
air outside the windows. Then the building I was in shook and lights
flickered and there was instantly smoke outside the windows that was so
thick we couldn't see the buildings ten feet away.
I'm shaken, thoroughly shaken, have had a long trudge home after being
held inside the building for hours because there was so much smoke and
flying debris outside, and am about to sob all over my keyboard.
150,000 people visit those towers in the course of a day.
Are all the other New Yorkers ok?
