It seems to me the people misunderstand the use of language in poeple's
posts.
To say the I disagree with you is not to say I think you are a bad
person.
To say I think something is stupid, is not to say I think it is the
person who is stupid.
To say someone is being childish is not to say that is how they are
always andforever.
To say that a comment or attitude is racist, sexist, or whatever is not
to say that the person who made it is such.
People so often interpret what they read to mean something else
entrirely. we all do soemtimes.
When a person says YOU are stupid, YOU are ignorant, YOU are bad, YOU
are ugly, YOU rae....the list goes on ...THAT is insulting and rightly
interpreted as such.
There is a big difference between a behaviour / attitude and the person.
Condemn one and not the other. Trouble is when you condemn a behaviouir,
people don't undertsand, take it personally and then accuse the person
falsely of condemning the person!
