It seems that they thought it would be a "preemptive strike" against potential 
complaints.  And 
given recent lawsuits and pending anti-trust action being pursued against them it may 
or may 
not have been a wise decision.  However, in light of everything else they have done, 
this move 
was bound to be seen as controversial. 

I also think that CC is reacting to the backlash Howard Stern got for his 
post-9/11show which 
was nothing short of appalling.

What's more interesting than the randomness of some of the selections is the exclusion 
of all 
Rage Against the Machine, particularly since the Rage message board was taken down by 
Infopop after there was some federal investigation of posts which contained "violent 
threats."
