I remember strong anti-Vietnam war sentiment in 1966. I think it made a huge
difference, but it took years to make that difference. When the draft went
into effect & I was old enough to do so, I became active in the antiwar
protest movement. We had a president who was corrupt & paranoid. I remember
feeling that he & his vice president believed me & those like me to be his
enemy. The country was truly split & it felt like a civil war at times.
