I have the extremely good fortune of living in a very diverse neighborhood with neighbors who take the time to welcome newcomers and to visit with each other pretty regularly. In 25 years of living on my own, I haven't experienced this since I was a kid, and it's a joy to live this way again. Believe me, it feels really good to know your neighbors and to watch out for and take care of each other. If you haven't done so recently, take the time to say hello to your neighbors and find out how they are, and really listen to what they have to tell you. There's a slideshow being passed around these days; I don't know who created it, but it has some good advice. I uploaded it to my website rather than attaching it. http://www.geocities.com/lrfye/todayonly.pps Peace to all, Lori in MD ~
