Others have already suggested some of these, but I would definitely include
Carole King, Paul Simon, John Phillips (Mamas and Papas) and possibly Neil
Young - who has some songs from that period that would be pretty easy for
kids to sing.  And maybe CSNY too - Our House, Helplessly Hoping, Teach Your
Children.
