Hello,

I feel bad now because I've been rather emotional myself lately. I was unfair to you
in a previous post. Anyway, I feel like I'm just getting to know you and I hope you
don't leave.

(and now, a word in praise of my employer, the US government): I think we all can see
why the government can't come up with an easy solution to this mess. If we can't
agree, and we are a microcosm of the population - with exceptionally good taste since
we all love Joni, I might add, think how hard it is to get agreement from people all
over the world. Not to say the government has done everything right, but there are
really no easy answers here when there is such strong emotion and so many different
points of view.

I'm glad I work for the Environmental Protection Agency, not the CIA or FBI.

Mary
