Someone on another list I belong to (yes, I admit it-I'm tomcatting around in cyberspace!) posted what I think is a really cool idea. The idea is that twelve people agree to make a cdr compilation once a year and send it to the other eleven on the list. Each and every month for eleven months you get a new compilation. Once a year you have to make a compilation and send it to the other 11 people on the list.
What d'ya think? Should we try it? I'd love to give it a shot and would happily do the first cdr. If you are interested in joining the cdr of the month club e-mail me off list. If we get to twelve members right away, I'll post to the list and maybe a second group can start independantly. There are no rules to speak of other than you must have access to a cd burner, post office, etc, etc. Maybe excluding Joni herself from the compolations (ok, maybe a song or two tops), as most of us already have all her cd's. The point is to enlighten, entertain, enjoy and explore new music from a different perspective. Hopefully, we'll all get to hear some things we woulden't have the chance to otherwise. So, If you're intersted, e-mail me with your name and location. If you want a particular month assigned to you for making a cdr, let me know that too (first come first served).
