My mother used to put me in my bouncer in front of the television, but only when there was English soccer playing. It would calm me down immediately and I'd drift off to sleep. Ironically I hate watching it now, and find it unbelievably dull most of the time. Come to think of it, it does still send me to sleep, so I guess it's not so ironic after all! My earliest memory is sitting in that bouncer, and my mother says I'd outgrown it by the time I was nine months old.
