Okay, I hadda crawl outta lurkdom because I couldn't let this go by:
That Caucasian, soulful Brit Kiki Dee released a fine album, for it's time, on
Tamla/Motown in 1970: 'Great Expectations', and in 1972, the less soulful
Lesley Gore released an album, 'Someplace Else Now', on Motown subsidiary
MoWest. Teena's debut, 'Wild and Peaceful', came out on Gordy in 1979.

Sorry, Denknee, was just reporting what I was told by a docent at the Motown
Museum in Detroit. On your knowledge, I certainly stand corrected and will
never repeat that comment again. I appreciated both Gore and Dee's music in
its time as well as Teena's. But, were the same docent and I right about
Rare Earth?

PS: As a newbie to posting - don't forget the NJC in the subject line when
your post doesn't pertain to Joni.
