You and I would get along just fine. I can't take that stuff either and I'm constantly amazed at people who can talk like that *all the time* and sound like they really mean it. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who just didn't get it. Perhaps I had stumbled into some mysterious cult and they thought I was one of them. Perhaps if I acted like a pod person, they'd never find out I wasn't really one of theirs - how frightening! One of the joys for me of working in government, I suppose, is that even though that sort of thing is trendy in gov't as well, it's not done with as great rabidity as it is in the private sector and there are enough of us who can sit at the back chortling and snorting and counting the cliches, while endeavouring to look serious about it all.
