I have mentioned it before so I won't go into a long piece about it but my road trip around New England in 97 was all the more wonderful and exciting precisely because it was so cold and there was so much snow! I got caught in a blizzard in the Vermont mountains, saw icebergs floating down the St Lawrence in Quebec City, saw many frozen lakes. Never have I experienced such cold-minus 30 at times. Lovely!
