The most generous man in the known universe, Simon, made a set of videos for
me of the recent music events. I'll dub them onto USA style VHS (in stereo)
for blanks and postage.

"America: A Tribute to Heros" is on one two hour VHS, has no commercial
interruptions, and boasts the slightly better sound. It was broadcast only
once on September 21, 2001. I had not seen the contributions by Stevie
Wonder or Bruce Springsteen before. (Thanks, Simon!) Seeing a Canadian
(Neil Young) singing a song of peace ("Imagine") written by a slain
Englishman for a wounded America is a poignant testament that none of us is
ever alone.

"The Concert For New York City", is much longer, sprawling across 3 VHS
tapes, and incorporates persistent reminders that VH1 is a good corporate
citizen. The audio on this tape has the most agressive compressor I've ever
heard. I haven't seen it all yet but I look forward to it; there are many
very talented people on it.

Please contact me off-list, form a single-file line, and remember, "No
pushing!"

Love,

Lama

ps, "line" is American for "queue". Thank you.
