It is almost 6.30am and I am going to bed. After a 36hr labour Martha has had 3 girls and 3 boys. It took 32 hrs thereabouts for the 1st stage to move to the 2nd, which is the actual pushing. Then 2 hrs of that till the first and biggest puppy was born. The following 5 were all out in 1 1/2 hrs. Now Martha is content and asleep with her quiet puppies. Quiet is good cos it means the puppies are happy too. I both really hate this process and am amzed by it. hate it cos so much can go wrong and I hate to see my little girls suffer. Amazed each time cos it just astounds me-birth. It makes me think of evolution versus a designer. Both ideas are mind boggling, tho I cannot understand how such a complicated process evolved. But who designed the designer?
