If you like the really folk-y stuff, I'd say just
about anything by Sandy Denny (late of Fairport et al.
 You might like Kate Rusby. And then there's Jeff
Buckley, Nick Drake, John Martyn (sometimes a sweet
singer, sometimes a gutsy bluesy singer, sometimes
both), Fred Neil, Eric Andersen, Fogelberg & Weisberg
(I can't remember their first names).  And you know
there may be more...
