This is one set of Joni's lyrics that never quite gelled for me until now. This interpretation makes perfect sense to me and it never occurred to me. Thank you, James, for parting the clouds & allowing the light to shine through into 'the ghetto of my mind' (as RLJ would say). Mark E.
