There's been some talk about Eric Burdon.
A lot of people like the Animals and think that Eric went downhill from there
(War, etc...)
The 2 cents I would like to add is that when I saw him at the Golden Bear in
Huntington Beach in 1982 it was one of the best concerts I have ever attended,
and its memories are still vivid. There were 2 keyboardists and it was just
incredible.
I had the opportunity to see him several times afterwards and was never
disappointed.  In fact, a former college dorm-mate became his manager, I don't
know whether she still is.
I've been looking for live recordings of this era and so far the 76 Live at
the Roxy is one of the hottest Erics in my collection.
