Defending Your Life is a BRILLIANT film by Albert Brooks, and also starring Meryl Streep & Rip Torn that examines life after death in a semi-comical fashion, and puts forth the premise that humans are actually the lowest form of life and that as we grow through life experiences, we get to move on to the next level. Almost like Hinduism in its beliefs in Dharma/Karma and such.
Brooks is wonderful, and so is the script. Streep is also well-cast and super. It's a great film to make you think, and believe me, I haven't given away a thing in any of this. Should be easily available as a rental, probably pops up on TV as well. Bob
