Look out Cindy Lou Who, Les will delurk and make you sit in the corner! :~) But I know of whence you speak; I saw him in '98 and thought he was dreadful, particularly after being spellbound by Joni. He's always been inconsistent live with good nights and bad nights on any given tour. I think it's pretty much a crap shoot. But I give him major props for continuing to work his ass off, and for continuing to push himself artistically with new product. Love & Theft wasn't the record of the year, but it was a damn good one, and he's got a great band behind him these days. Bob, still on the fence about seeing him here in Greenville...
