If I remember correctly, the Bee Gees used a lot of glottal stops in their
songs.  Think of a singer singing one word, but extending it to 2 notes.
Instead of doing it smoothly, there is a slight stop of air in between.  I
can't think of a good example at the moment.  Does that help at all?
