oh well,,,, i suppose now that the suspense is gone i dont have to watch it anymore :(
we were obviously running a couple of weeks behind you cause we just had the down to 5
finalists episode tonight, which was quite interesting. they had to sing abba songs.
now while im not particularly fond of abba they were pretty much "pop idols" so the
comparison was interesting..
they all came up horribly short.
will did a good performance - not really *pop Idol* material tho, and the blond girl
(hayley??) looked the part, but was lacking in the singing.
still - i think will is pretty much the pick of the bunch, definitely the best singer.
im glad to see that it wasnt just the pretty face that won..
which leads me to my question. i personally think that some pretty good talent dropped
out in the earlier rounds. people who would perhaps not make "pop idiots" but would
probably make pretty good musicians/singers.
so if the had a "pop idiot" in the 60's - how would the heroes of today have faired. i
can just imagine the rude comments:
im sorry bob, you cant sing to save your life, your hairs a mess, and you have
no star quality. go back to washing dishes
