Before we totally beat this subject into the ground (sorry), I want to mention Britney Spears' (first?) big smash, "Hit Me Baby One More Time". I found it incredibly strange that a singer who was an icon for millions
of young girls could put out a statement that could be taken as an invitation to violence, and not have ANY (that I am aware of) media question the possible message being presented. Kinda Wierd.
