yeah, lets get it straight, JULIUS! sheesh. ;-)
park city is in fact, about 35 miles east of saltine
city and the medals plaza. its in the wasatch
mountains. saltine is at the central/western foot of
those mountains. just for anyones edification.

this is alison, your incredibly unreliable Olympic
reporter and salt lake city resident checking in for
the first of one reports on the state of affairs, the
games, the scandals, and more.
it looks things are going smoothly, i watch it all on
tv just like the rest of you. have been seeing some of
the BEAUTIFUL shots that dave letterman has been
showing, they're some of the best i've seen. very nice
views. we represent well in real life, too. for those
of you have been watching letterman, no thats not the
mormon temple, its the city and county building. which
for some reason, the s.l. oly commitee or the mayor or
somebody, changed the name of to "washington square",
but forgot to inform the locals. so we have all these
tourists trying to get to events there, and nobody
knows where or what the hell they're talking about.
high comedy, indeed.

i'm heading down to "BUD WORLD" tonight, which is a
city park that budweiser paid for to promote its
crappy beer to the public. i guess theres games and
food and general merriment for the whole drunken
family. i'm checking it out. for 5 bucks a bottle, i
think it's gonna be a brief visit to bud world. also,
sheryl crow is playing at the medals plaza, so i'll
probably hang out around there and listen, as the
"free" tickets are now scalping for 50 to 200 bucks
each.
so, there you have it.
this is alison, you're unreliable but truthful
reporter, signing off from saltine city. long live
denver and that woody paige guy.
np: replacements, live.
