Hey Jimbo, Always a pleasure to hear from ya'! I had read (either here or somewhere) about that Betts appearance, those moments are always SO cool. Yeah, our crowd went nuts when he started into "Rainy Day Women", especially when he sings 'everybody must get stoned'...and things also reached a high pitch when he did "Like A Rolling Stone" and when he'd sing "how does it feel" the lights turned out on the audience. It was pretty electrifying.
Speaking of lighting, I have to extend kudos to the lighting for this show. Nothing showy or flashy (and not all the smoke that was gagging me in Atlanta), and some songs they created interesting shodows on the back screen. Evocative blue lighting for "Tangled Up In Blue", which he performed in third person as opposed to second person, and started off with a riff that recalled our Doobies "Listen To The Music". Anyway, I'm still reeling with the good vibe, which I expect will carry forward when I party tonight with Victor, Cindy & company in Athens... Bob NP: Seven Mary Three, "Cumbersome"
