Well, I was sorry to see Princess Margaret go. She was an enormously interesting person with great potential, most of which remained untapped and frustrated. Plus, it isn't often that a 71-year old dies while her/his mother is still alive.... As for what she may (or may not) have said about the Irish; as for her life of subsidized luxury; as for her exaggerated sense of entitlement? It's how she was brought up! If ever there was an argument for nurture vs. nature, this is it. Margaret Rose Windsor was not only a beautiful woman, she was a highly intelligent one. But according to the royal tradition, she was never given anything like a real education; she was just given anything she wanted. If she turned into an arrogant person with an exaggerated sense of entitlement, this is surely the fault of her parents and her country. We shouldn't judge Margaret Rose too harshly. Abuse can happen as easily to the rich as it can to the poor. I'll miss Princess Margaret.
