Hi Joseph, Thanks for more Julia information. I wasn't too good at paying attention to details the other night because I was really swept up in everything. She said something about either having just come from the Philippines or that she was going there next (I hope the latter for you!)
I saw that "nuclear glow intensity" throughout the audience the other night. I dragged along my very non-musical friend who is usually more interested in pondering the business end of music promotion whenever I introduce him to a new club or artist. However, early into Julia's performance he was in complete melt-down and stuttering in awe. haha ;-) She didn't give too many details about the upcoming album - from the way she spoke it almost seemed like there were many of her list fans in the audience and she was assuming they already had information. From what I gather reading her email on one of the web sites, the division at Atlantic that was handling her went under and so all the artists connected with that division also lost their label. Apparently she has found another label to release it but is unable to name then as yet. Word is that it will be released in early summer. Oh wow, I think she would be incredible singing Amelia or Blue Motel Room! I almost faint just thinking of it! And I've gathered more names for our JF group! Big Walt, Joe and Catherine T. And I also forgot to mention Julius and Stephen in Vancouver!! Julius saw her in New York last year and got an autographed poster for me that is unfortunately irretrievably locked in the trunk of a car in Massachucetts - long, funny story but I truly appreciate the thought. ;-) Julius - did you see her at Bimbos in SF last week??
