Me, too Anne, I am a HUGE fan of Shawn's. What I wouldn't give to be in a workshop with her. Lucky you!!!! I did get the chance to meet her briefly a couple of years ago when she played here...
I have never done this with anyone else ever....but there she was, there was my friend with a camera, so I asked if she would mind taking a picture with me. I could tell she was pretty tired (she was very very pregnant at the time but it sure didn't affect her incredible guitar playing). She was so gracious & sweet...I told her I was a songwriter & longtime fan of hers & she wished me luck (didn't have my cd recorded at the time or I would have given it to her for sure). Anyway, I just had to share this cuz Shawn Colvin stands very close to Joni in my book, as far as singer/songwriter/guitar players go & it was a HUGE thrill for me to have that brief chance to speak with her & have a photo of us together!
