I'm trying to find the original quote from joni about how the public puts an artist or a politician on a pedestal and then feels the need to knock them off. she actually has said things along these lines more than once; I found one of them in the "nervy broad" interview archived on the jmdl site, but there was an earlier one, possibly from Rolling Stone, in which she specifically mentions politicians. I would appreciate anyone's help in finding this quote.
