The big networks no longer dominate television.  The breadth of cable offerings with 
digital TV is absolutely stunning.  I used to be one of those people who said, "all 
those 
channels and nothing on!" but now I can't complain.  Trio and Ovation are doing great 
concerts, there's great history and life science programming, independent films, and 
when all else fails, I tune into Brazilian pop on one of the digital music channels.  

The same can happen with music as more companies aim to super-serve niches and 
scale their businesses accordingly.
