Hey, all! I've only posted a few times, but I read the list everyday, and I
LOVE Bob's wonderful Covers CD's. This past week I traded in about 7 of
Joni's early CD's in order to replace them with the HDCD re-releases with the
original art work, etc. My main reason for doing this was the audience
"banter" had been mysteriously removed on my first disc, MILES OF AISLES, but
on the re-release, ITS BACK!!! MILES OF AISLES was the (double) album that
first turned me on to Joni and I just love her and her guitar especially. My
questions are : Why was the audience "banter" removed the first time around?
Certainly it wasn't a time constraint. Are the other HDCD's marked
improvements over the initial releases sonically or just re-packaging? Its
only the early CD's that need replacing because from HOSL on I have the
HDCD's. Any info is greatly appreciated. By the way, I've seen our lady in
concert TWICE! Once at the DAY IN THE GARDEN at the original Woodstock site
in '98 (surreal and heavenly...words can't describe) and on the BSN tour in
NYC with the huge orchestra...just gorgeous! Thanks again! Harry
