Oh, wow! This is amazing -- I didn't know they'd ever met (Joni and Dionne)!
My first musical heroes were Bacharach, who wrote for Dionne (with Hal
David), and Jimmy Webb, who wrote largely at first for the 5th Dimension,
followed soon by Laura Nyro, and finally Joni! My four biggest heroes
(there's like a 17-way tie for fifth place), and I'm gradually finding out
that they've all met or collaborated or whatever.

Sorry to gush, it's just I'm always thrilled when Joni works with someone
else I like, like Michael McDonald or Peter Gabriel, and I didn't know Joni
and Dionne had ever met. Does anyone know if Joni and Burt B. ever met -- I
know Larry K. was producing "Grace of my Heart", and both Joni and Burt
(working with Elvis Costello this time) contributed one song each, but did
they meet?

Just curious,

Walt
