Not that I know of. I believe the Recording Artists Coalition (RAC)
recently formed-is the first of it's kind. Maybe you are thinking of
ASCAP which started out as an advocacy group for composers
and publishers.
BTW-RAC has a great website which deals with the many issues
surrounding the music biz as it relates to artists.
