I don't really know what the BAFTA's are so if you would like to enlighten me that would be great but I don't think I can discuss(or feel one way or the other about) something I don't know much about. The Oscars I could care less about(or the Grammys for that matter.) I just like music and enjoy watching movies and I don't think there is any particular tone to this list. My favorite movie of the past few months is Amelie, which was directed by a French director, which I highly recommend. One of the cd's I've enjoyed the most this month was a cd of European music that was sent to me by a list member. I went to a play last weekend, Alice in Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll, an Englishman. I met a young man from Poland, last weekend as well who has lived here for five years. He is a musician also and plays the guitar and writes songs in English. The next day, I went to interview for a job at an elementary school and sat in on a special ed class for autistic children. The girl who was leading the class was also from Poland and listening to her recite the states and capitols with them and read a story, I remembered how much I love foreign accents(especially women...I dated a french girl once from La Borne. She turned me on to Francis Cabrel, from France who is one of my favorite singers.) I recently responded to Marian about her friend Ramona who is thinking about recording a Joni Mitchell song and I looked forward to hearing her play someday...she's from Austria. Thanks for reassuring me that the rest of the world is still out there as I would like to return to Europe some day and visit Thailand and don't want to fall off the edge of the world when I leave United States waters. Victor
