<<I heard and fell in love with Raitt's cover of "That Song About the Midway" before I
heard Joni's own version. >>

As did I, Julius...I can tell you exactly where I was on Wake Forest road in Raleigh
when I heard the song on WQDR-FM. I couldn't even drive I was so blown away, I had to
pull over into the Eckerd's parking lot and just stared at the radio.

Bought Bonnie's "Streetlights" that day. Love Joni's version, but Bonnie's is far
better.

If you're looking for a solid Bonnie compilation, Julius, she's got a good one out
from 1990, "The Bonnie Raitt Collection", that has a lot of what you mentioned plus a
very cool live duet with her mentor Sippie Wallace on "Women Be Wise".

And her long-awaited new release comes out this Tuesday the 9th, titled "Silver
Lining".

And Susan, congrats on your wonderful experience & thanks for sharing it!

Bob
