I wasn't there at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston when the 600
parishioners gave Cardinal Above-the-Law a standing ovation, Kate, so I am
not sure they were applauding any one thing -- from the news account I heard
it was a show of support for the Cardinal, who refuses to resign despite the
fact that his mismanagement of the situation (cover-ups, quietly moving
pedophile priests to new parishes, etc.) caused many more children to be
sexually abused over the last couple of decades.
