On the subject of funeral music, I remember visiting a local museum in the
medieval city of Cordes in France, and there I saw a very peculiar coffin
(sarcophage is the correct french term).
The stone coffin was from the Mirovingiens era and was fitted for 2 people.
Also, the stone wall in-between the 2 sides had a row of holes for the dead to
communicate with each other!
Very convenient too if one has music inside.
I'd be curious to know whether anybody has ever seen anything like it?
Personally I haven't.
