This morning while listening to streaming WFUV, I heard the morning DJ
talking about a non-profit group called Songs of Love Foundation. It seems
they recruit singer-songwriters to write and record personalized songs for
chronically and terminally ill children. I thought that sounded like just
the neatest idea! I know there are several, and by all accounts very
talented, singer-songwriters on this list, and it occurred to me what a
wonderful use for your gifts.

I remember when my children were small I mail-ordered them personalized
story books. They were nothing as special as a song, but I still remember
how their little faces would light up when they saw their very own names in
a real book. I can only imagine what a joy it would be both to the ill
children and their parents to have a truly special song.

I'm not sure where this organization is located, I assume East Coast, but of
course they have a website - songsoflove.org. Is anyone familiar with this
group?
